How the calculators fit together
Most off-grid and backup-power questions chain the same few steps. Start by turning a load list into a daily energy figure, size the battery bank for that figure and the autonomy you want, then check that the inverter, the charging source and the cables can actually move that energy. The calculators are built to hand results to each other: a bank size becomes the capacity input for solar charge time, and an inverter rating becomes the current input for voltage drop.
None of the tools hide a coefficient. The equation is printed next to the result, every default is editable, and the guides explain where the defaults come from.
